Autism and Homeopathy

Every child who comes to me is different. Two children may both have a diagnosis of autism, ADHD or PANS/PANDAS, yet have completely different histories, symptoms, behaviours and needs.

My aim is to understand your child as an individual, not simply their diagnosis.

We go carefully through the whole timeline: pregnancy and birth, early development, illnesses, medications, sleep, digestion, diet, sensory patterns, behaviour, emotional wellbeing and any significant changes or events along the way.

I am particularly interested in when things changed, what was happening around that time, and the individual pattern your child has developed since.

What Are We Trying To Achieve?

Parents often ask me how much change is possible.

There isn't one answer, because every child's starting point is different. Over many years of working with children, however, I have seen children make significant gains in areas such as communication, interaction, sleep, digestion, emotional regulation, sensory tolerance and general wellbeing, with some children eventually no longer meeting the criteria for an autism diagnosis.

My goal is always the same: to help your child become the healthiest, happiest and most comfortable version of themselves.

The Homeopathic Approaches I Use

My approach is individual to each child. Alongside constitutional and classical homeopathic prescribing, I may draw on a number of different homeopathic methods depending on the child's history and presentation.

These can include:

• Classical homeopathy selecting remedies according to the child's individual physical, emotional and behavioural picture.

• CEASE-inspired prescribing and Homeopathic Detox Therapy (HDT) looking carefully at the child's timeline and considering whether particular medications, environmental exposures or other significant events appear to coincide with changes in health or development.

• Isopathy where a homeopath uses a homeopathically prepared substance connected with a particular exposure in the child's history.

• Nosodes and sarcodes used where indicated as part of an individualised homeopathic prescription. Particularly helpful in PANS/PANDAS

• Matridonal remedies which I may consider where pregnancy, birth, separation or very early developmental experiences are prominent in the case.

• Constitutional and miasmatic prescribing looking beyond individual symptoms to the deeper pattern running through the child's case.

I don't follow one protocol for every child. The method I use is determined by the child in front of me, their history and how their case develops over time.

Where appropriate, I may also suggest functional testing, such as Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA), to provide additional information.

Working Together

After the initial consultation, I generally recommend follow ups every 6–8 weeks so that I can assess what has changed, evaluate the response to remedies and adjust the prescription as your child's picture develops.

Progress isn't always linear. There can be periods of rapid change, periods where things appear quieter and times when illness, growth, developmental changes or other factors alter the picture.

I therefore encourage parents to keep in touch between appointments when necessary via WhatsApp. I want to know about significant changes rather than waiting until the next consultation. This contact is included in the consultation fee and is available during clinic hours.

Full Follow-Up £85

Please allow up to 45 minutes

Follow-ups are usually approximately 6–8 weeks apart and include:

• Detailed review of changes since the previous appointment

• Assessment of remedy response

• Review of new or changing symptoms

• Further case analysis and remedy research where required

• Updated prescription and treatment plan

• Between-appointment contact via WhatsApp when needed during clinic hours

Remedies are not included in the consultation fee. You will be given instructions for ordering them directly from a homeopathic pharmacy.

Consultation fees are payable in full before the appointment. Payment can be made by card via Stripe or by bank transfer.
