What Is Tautopathy?

In my homeopathic practice, working with children with ASD, I realise that I discuss this homeopathic term more than any other, many times a week and to many different parents!! It’s one of the most valuable tools in prescribing for complex cases and in particular for children with Autism. So what does it mean and how can it help your child?

Tautopathic prescribing is used where we suspect a patient has never been well since a drug/medication/heavy metal/pesticide or other environmental toxin and as such has caused significant health issues and a tautopathic remedy is a homeopathic preparation of that same substance (made to strict guidelines in Homeopathic Pharmacies)

We talk about using these remedies to “clear” but we do not mean that it will remove the intended effect of the medication. Instead the desired effect is to help the body resolve or detoxify any unhealthy residue or toxic effects from that substance.

So tautopathy is still homeopathy! It is still using the main principle of like cures like! And sometimes we need to clear the effects of these substances out the way before well indicated remedies will work to their best advantage!
